Gooooood Mooorning everyone! There have been some big changes to my area! (If you know what I mean haha) I’ll try to write what I can this morning but I have a lot of work cut out for me! So Big Rapids is getting blue washed! Basically just means Elders will be taking over our area. Our District is changing a lot as well. Greenville is getting blue washed, Ludington is getting pink washed (Sisters taking over), and Fremont is the only one staying the same as far as having elders or sisters and our elder there will be training! One of our Elders from Ludington will be taking over Big Rapids, so it’s nice to know the Elder coming in. Then, one of the sisters down in Greenville will be taking over Ludington! So we’ll still have members of our district here in the Ludington District and it’s really nice to know that we’ll be able to keep in touch! Finally note about our District, our district leader will become a zone leader! Everything happening in our district is so new!Of course, Sister Harris and I have been preparing for her to leave, but not for me to leave. We had been making a lot of progress with our friends and they even came to church for the first time yesterday! It’s hard to leave that behind. Getting the news that we were both leaving and wouldn’t have at least one of us to stay behind was a bit hard for us to take and we’ve been kind of anxious the last few days. I was in no way prepared to pack up and move, but we’re getting there and did a lot of packing over the weekend. We’ve got a lot to do today to tie things up in our area in preparation for the elders to step in, so I won’t be writing too much.

This situation and the feelings that have been swirling around for the last few days remind me of one of my favorite scriptures (which I read to Sister Harris the other evening);

5 Behold, the field was ripe, and blessed are ye, for ye did thrust in the sickle, and did reap with your might, yea, all the day long did ye labor; and behold the number of your sheaves! And they shall be gathered into the garners, that they are not wasted.

6 Yea, they shall not be beaten down by the storm at the last day; yea, neither shall they be harrowed up by the whirlwinds; but when the storm cometh they shall be gathered together in their place, that the storm cannot penetrate to them; yea, neither shall they be driven with fierce winds whithersoever the enemy listeth to carry them.

7 But behold, they are in the hands of the Lord of the harvest, and they are his; and he will raise them up at the last day.”

Alma 26:5-7

I will meet several people on my mission that I will become close to. I’m going to miss the members we have gotten to know, and the friends we have made whether we’re teaching them or not. We met a lot of amazing friends at Ferris that we hope to see today, and keep in touch with. But I know that the Lord will take care of them and He is mindful of them and their situation, and He is watching over them.

I honestly kind of had the mindset that I would be in Big Rapids with Sister Harris for the rest of my mission. 😅 Now that it’s coming to an end, I think I’m still trying to wrap my mind around it. It’ll probably hit when I get to my new area and I get to drive for the first time in 5 months! Haha. I’m excited to meet and get to know my new companion, Sister Hafer (this will be really confusing with all of the sister I know that have last names that start with “Ha”- more people than you guys know lol), and I am so excited to meet my new ward down in Springlake! I’ve heard it’s a beautiful area, and I am still in my same zone, so I will still have my STL’s and I will still get to see the members of my district sometime this transfer for Zone Conference!

Leaving Big Rapids is going to be hard, and I treasure my time that I’ve had with Sister Harris and all that we’ve gone through the last three transfers! But we will keep in touch via snail mail in addition to keeping in touch on Mondays. We might even try to do some music together via technology! I make no promises.

I love you all and hope to continue hearing from you guys! If you want/need my updated address, please ask my padre. If you have sent something via mail to my address here in Big Rapids, just let me know and I’ll get it sorted. 😊

Thank you all! Have an amazing week! I’m sure I’ll have a lot to talk about next week!
